Ascension St. Joseph’s Medical Center Code STEMI Award

Congratulations to Lockport Firefighter/Paramedics Mike Wolski and Blake Becker who were recipients of the Ascension St. Joseph’s Medical Center Code STEMI Award for early detection and treatment of a patient having a ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI). A Code STEMI is a collaboration between paramedics and the hospital to reduce the time from recognition prehospital to definitive treatment in the Cath-lab. The more time you save, the more patients you save.
